Endings & Beginning

After hopping around different free servers for blogs, I felt it was time to come back to this one that I started quite some time ago. Other free servers either have ads or cater more to someone who wants to start an online business, and that’s not what I’m here for. Enough about that as I start to polish off the dust around this blog.
Last year was a tough one for me with a lot of ups and downs, probably a little heavier on the downs. Slowly things are getting a little better, and I’m hoping that things will continue that way. I don’t really have a set “theme” planned for this blog. I’ll probably just right about my favorite books, films, and any other subjects that strike my fancy.
I just wanted to take a moment to say how stunned I was that several of my favorite people in the entertainment industry have passed this month. The picture above is from the late actor Alan Rickman’s wikipedia page. I thought it was a lovely shot of him.

So sad about Alan Rickman, David Bowie, and Glenn Frey of the Eagles. I still cannot get over how they are all gone in the same month.
On a brighter note, it has been raining heavily here in the West Coast of the U.S. We still have a long way to go in the drought situation, but at least it’s slowly coming along 🙂
